Does removing the bladder cure bladder cancer?
Removing the bladder can certainly result in cure of bladder cancer. Oftentimes we incorporate other treatment modalities in addition to bladder removal. This would most likely include chemotherapy. Following chemotherapy, we do a surgery to remove the bladder. If all goes well, this would be a curative approach to bladder cancer.
