High School Outreach Program

Since its inception in 2008, the High School Outreach Program has allowed our Department to give back to the next generation by inspiring young minds to search out new possibilities for their future and to gain hands-on experience in the medical field. This program is by invitation only, designed specifically for underserved High Schools in the Orange County Area. Over 3,200 students from 160 local high schools have attended this program.

High School Outreach Program experience includes:

  • Live lecture and interactive session with a world-renowned surgeon and medical device innovator
  • Hands-on learning in our Surgical Education and Research Center with a highly motivated team of at all levels of surgical training, on actual surgical skills in open, endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
  • Complimentary breakfast and lunch.

Special thanks to the JDC Family Foundation for their support.
