Program Description:

UCI Urology invites you to join the 7th Annual UCI Advanced International Men’s Health Course. A FREE comprehensive virtual course on Men’s Health, learning from 75 world-renowned experts across 67 institutions from the comfort of your home!

This two-day virtual course will cover specialized training for men’s health urologists, urinary incontinence specialists, and andrology specialists.

Day 1 sessions focusing on BPH, OAB/urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction (medical), male infertility, and Peyronie’s disease.

Day 2 sessions focusing on female sexual dysfunction, hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction (surgical), priapism, and ejaculatory dysfunction, scrotal pain and priapism.

Learning Objectives:

  • Diagnose, work up and manage patients with various Men’s Health conditions (erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory dysfunction, hypogonadism, voiding dysfunction and incontinence).
  • Understand how to work up and manage a couple with male-factor infertility.
  • Understand how to manage complications and controversies associated with hypogonadism, such as prostate cancer, cardiovascular disease, and male infertility.
  • Prepare and set up, as well as perform standard and complex procedures, and manage complications related to Peyronie’s disease, penile prosthesis and male continence surgery.
  • Be familiar and comfortable with how to perform minimally invasive procedures and surgeries for BPH.
  • Learn how to manage chronic orchalgia and pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • Learn the basics of the work up and management of female sexual dysfunction.
  • Be comfortable with the assessment of men’s health diagnosis.
  • Appreciate the complex interactions of hypogonadism with prostate cancer, cardiovascular disease, and infertility and what the most appropriate interventions are in these cases.
  • Prepare and set up, as well as perform standard and complex procedures, and manage complications related to penile prosthesis and male sling surgery.
  • Be familiar and comfortable with how to perform intralesional injections for patients with Peyronie’s disease and subcutaneous testosterone pellet insertions for patients with hypogonadism.

Description

This is a comprehensive state-of-the-art, intensive two-day course on male prosthetic urology (penile prosthesis, male sub-urethral sling). The course will include in-depth didactic sessions, the latest in erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease and urinary incontinence prosthetic urologic surgery options, and hands-on laboratory training in penile prosthesis placement and male sling placement using cadavers. Course held immediately prior to the American Urological Association 2019 annual meeting. 16 physicians from China, Indonesia, Lebanon, Qatar and Brazil, participated in this 2-day course.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • 1. Diagnose, work-up and manage patients with sexual dysfunction, hypogonadism, Peyronie’s disease, BPH and incontinence.
  • 2. To understand how to manage complications and controversies associated with hypogonadism, such as prostate cancer, cardiovascular disease, and male infertility.
  • 3. Prepare and set up, as well as perform standard and complex procedures, and manage complications related to penile prosthesis and male sling surgery.
