Award Winning Opportunities
- The UC Irvine Department of Urology has established one of the finest and largest surgical training centers on the West Coast. Directed by Dr. Elspeth McDougall, the Astellas Minimally Invasive Surgery Education Center was awarded a Level I American College of Surgeons Education Institute, the first such designation given in California and one of only 24 recognized centers in North America.
Mini-Fellowship, Big Advantage
- The Department of Urology has established the first and only week-long mini-fellowship designed to teach new skills to postgraduate urologists. More than 200 urologists from 36 states and nine countries have completed a mini-fellowship at UC Irvine.
